Susan isn’t lazy, she’s just smart! Our lazy Susan’s come in two convenient sizes to meet your needs. Our lazy Susan’s are solid wood, edge grain construction and mounted on a steel ball bearing base made in America. Whether you are serving food or playing family board games, our lazy Susan is a great fit for any purpose.

Please note that wood is highly variable in color and grain pattern. Your board may have slight variations from what is shown in the stock images. There may also be slight variations in dimensions, as each piece is hand crafted.

Product Care
Our products are built to last and are made to be durable while aesthetically pleasing. All of our wares are seasoned with a beeswax/mineral oil mixture. Your product should be conditioned and cleaned per the instructions below to get the most life out of your product.

Conditioning
Although your product comes pre-seasoned, an additional application of mineral oil or a beeswax/mineral oil mixture is advised before your first use and once every month after. We also advise conditioning before serving or cutting liquid producing foods to help prevent the liquid from absorbing into the wood. We advise against using olive oil, or other fatty oils, as these can go rancid over time.

Do…

Use a butcher block conditioner or mineral oil such as Bumblechutes to condition your board. This keeps a protective layer to prevent bacteria and liquid from absorbing into your board and keeps it looking brand new.

Do NOT…

Use olive oil or other fatty oils on your wood products as these will go rancid over time.

Raised Grain
When wood is exposed to liquids, it can cause the grain to raise and feel "fuzzy". This is a natural occurance, especially on boards that use an all natural finish. This is not a defect, simply the action of the liquid on the wood fibers.

To get your board looking and feeling new again, simply buff the affected area with some steel wool, or high grit sand paper. This takes only a minute.

Cleaning

Do…

Sanitize your board by dampening a cloth or paper towel with a 50/50 water-vinegar solution and rub the entire board surface. Dry immediately and thoroughly. For a fresh scent, cut a lemon in half and rub on the board.

Do NOT…

Use dish soap, Clorox, or other harsh chemicals. These chemicals remove the protective layer of the board and make the wood more susceptible to bacteria growth. Bleach or baking soda will actually change the color of your product.

Never…

Leave your board under running water. The glue used to make the product is water soluble. Also, different wood species absorb water and dry at different rates. Large amounts of liquid will put too much stress on the joints, causing them to crack.

PROCESSING TIMES:
Most orders are processed within 2–4 business days depending on the seller.

Once processed, delivery typically takes an additional 2–7 business days, depending on the destination.

If your order includes items from multiple sellers, each item may ship separately and have its own processing and delivery timeline.

Note: business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and Federal holidays.

Easy Returns Within 30 Days
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you have the flexibility to return the product within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund.

The buyer is responsible for ensuring the item is in its original packing, unused, taped for transit, and contains all parts, documents, and pieces.

Note: We reserve the right to accept returns of products only in "NEW" condition; non-eligible items and returns showing signs of use may not be accepted.

About Montana Block

It all began in Fall 2014 when Brittany wanted a nice wooden cutting board for her kitchen and Mitchell just so happened to know how to make one. Unknowingly Mitchell made the very first Montana Block butcher block. After friends and family caught wind of Brittany's board, they started asking Mitchell to make one for them or as gifts. And Montana Block was born.

Mitchell started woodworking in a small shed in the backyard of his house, with a few hand-me-down tools. He started registering for local art shows and craft fairs. Slowly but surely the business gained traction. He was still working full time and building wooden kitchen products for fun in his free time.

Then he walked into a storefront in Livingston, MT with one of his butcher blocks and asked if they'd be willing to sell them. The timing was perfect and they just so happened to want to switch from the same ole boards every other kitchen store sold, to a higher quality local maker. That was our first wholesale partnership.

After a few years, the woodshop moved from the shed to one bay of the two car garage. Then a few months later, the woodshop started taking over both bays of the garage. In Winter 2020, Mitchell quit his full time job and pursued Montana Block full time. In Fall 2021, Montana Block hired the very first employee.

In Summer 2022, the wood shop moved from the garage to a 2000 square foot manufacturing shop. In Fall 2024, the shop expanded to 4500 square feet and now employees six people.

Every day we are thankful for the support of our customers, wholesale partners and those who choose to work with us. With hard work, determination and a little luck Montana Block grew from a small hobby to a full on business.
